Eco-Friendly Lawn Mower
On May 3, 2010 I purchased my electric Black & Decker MM875 Lawn Hog with rear bag directly from Amazon and I was using it within 3 days and I just love it. It is quiet and it does not disturb my family nor my neighbors even if all the windows are open. I am a 56 yrs old female with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia and I cut my 1/2 acre with no problem. It is actually what my Doctor ordered. I get to walk behind the lawnmower, a good exercise and get my grass cut at the same time without going deaf or inhaling fumes. My riding mower is going into retirement as far as I am concerned, maybe my husband will use it once in a while. I also bought the cover for it and it fits perfect. I love the fact that the cover has a small bag attached to it, I fold the cover and put it into the bag until I need to cover the mower again. The price I paid for both was much cheaper than I would have paid for just the Lawn-mower if I had bought them locally.

Better than Gas mower for small yards.
I have a fenced in 40' X 20' yard for my dog. Got tired of fighting to get the 5 year old 6.5 HP to start, even after replacing the wearable parts. This Black & Decker is easy to push. Slows down very little even in mulch mode. Couldn't use the gas mower in mulch mode because it would bog down. Doesn't collect grass underneath and bog down like the gas mower would in non-mulch mode. The gas mower was 21-Inch self-propelled, but it took a good 30% longer to cut the small yard. The gas mower heavier weight with many unpropelled turns against the fence in a small yard slows the job down.

I have used this mower on a patch of grass 10 x 15 ft in front of my HOA controlled house, works flawlessly. So it's great for yards not worth the hassle of a gas mower.

Lawn hog excellent choice
I moved into a mobile home community and I never had an electric lawn mower in my life. I went from a 2 acre plus lawn to about a 1/16 of an acre where I live now, I wanted a mower that would be easy to maintain and work well. I found that in the Lawn Hog I purchased. I knew it would take getting used to using an extension cord, and I havent mastered that yet, but overall, I have found it to be the perfect choice for the size of my lawn. It cuts very well and is easily maintained. No gas or oil to worry about or tuneups either. I would recommend this product to anyone with a small, flat piece of land.

This lawnmower doesn't make a lot of noise. Not very heavy. Easy to turn over and clean after use. Multiple settings for height of grass which are very easy to change. Folding handle for easy storage. Advances easily. No need to push hard.

Easy height adjustment and no gasoline.
My lawn is small, perhaps 300 square feet. This mower mows and mulches it well.
My first one of these only lasted about 3 years before shorting out, I'll try to repair it later. I liked it so much though that I bought the same thing again.
No gas station trips, no oil changes or tuneups, and very easy one hand height adjustment. I did not want another battery either, and the cord does not bother me.
Owner's manual includes tips to not mow your extention cord (for those prone to such things).

Dependable and Great Value Mower
I purchased one of these at the tail end of last season, and have used it all season this year. Prior to buying this mower, I had a Neuton battery mower. It just didn't have enough power, and the battery life was not acceptable. In addition, the mowing width was small.
This mower resolved my problems. It has a lot of power, and you don't have to worry about the battery going dead while mowing. It is wider, and is always reliable. Initially I wondered how it would be to maneuver with a cord, but it really turned out to be a non-issue. The only minor suggestion I would make to the manufacturer, is to design it just a little bit lighter (my lawn is on a slope). All you must do to start the mower is pull the lever, so there is no difficulty as with a gas mower.
I recommend that you spray the bottom of the mower with a cooking spray before using, and after each cleaning underneath. That makes if very easy to clean the grass that tends to cake on the bottom of any mower when the grass is moist.
When you buy an electric mower, you are also preventing quite a bit off pollution. The average gas mower creates as much pollution during one mowing as driving your car about 200 miles !
